Lightning Base Kit Components
Molded one piece fuselage Bulkheads already installed, pre marked for wing cut outs, seat back bulkhead installed. No lay ups or epoxy work to do.
Left & Right Horizontal Stabilizers Pre molded and closed. Ready for elevator hinge attachment and insertion into fuselage
Left & Right Elevators Pre molded and ready for hinge attachment and counter weight installation. Elevator drive horn welded and ready for painting & installation
Pre molded Rudder Ready for hinge installation, rudder cable attachment bracket installation and counter weight installation.
Left & Right Wing Fuel tanks & fittings installed. Ready for wing tip installation (epoxy bond). Ready for aileron and flap hinge installation.
Flaps Complete left & right flaps ready to bolt on to the wings after minor trimming
Ailerons Complete & closed. Ready for hinge installation and then attachment to the wing with minor trimming
Rudder Pedals & Control Sticks All welding completed. Ready to assemble and bolt into aircraft after painting
Brakes & Wheels Matco Hydraulic brakes with 5" x 5" wheels on mains. Matco 4.00 x 4 nose wheel. Aircraft grade tires.
Canopy Stretch formed canopy and molded fiberglass frame included with two gas struts and positive latching mechanism. Ready to install after minor trimming to fit canopy frame and fuselage.
Stainless Firewall Sent as raw stainless sheet stock. Must be cut to size with hand shears and edges deburred.
Cowls Top & Bottom cowls pre molded and gel coated. Ready for final minor trim after engine installation.
Spinner Fiberglass spinner with carbon fiber back plate. Ready for assembly and installation after cutout for prop.
FWF Systems Included engine mount, carb heat system, oil cooling system, oil recovery system for crankcase vent, battery box, fwf fuel system, aux electric fuel pump, SCAT ducting & clamps. misc hardware.
Center console / Arm Rest Pre molded and ready to bond in place. Transitions into the instrument panel
Instrument Panel Blank Panel std. Precut and labeled panel optional
Baggage Compartment Foam sandwich rear sound curtain and floor panels.
Hardware All AN hardware, aircraft grade stainless cables. No common low grade bolts or fasteners.
